AttackDNA is a cybersecurity startup dedicated to leveraging AI and AR to create critical transformative technologies for the cybersecurity industry. AttackDNA combines our core X/DNA engine with some of the world`s most powerful cybersecurity solutions, to expose emerging next-gen threats and other critical vulnerabilities better than 99% of the industry. In addition, our platform is also designed to save you money without costly rip and replace.
The inception of AttackDNA emerged from a significant incident experienced by one of AttackDNA`s co-founders, who was serving as CIO/CISO for Powerwave Technologies, where he was responsible for protecting over $1 billion worth of sensitive IP. Despite substantial investments in advanced cybersecurity solutions, an unethical competitor illicitly replicated some of Powerwave's product designs, resulting in over $20 million in lost revenue. This pivotal event sparked the creation of AttackDNA. Despite substantial investments in cybersecurity, most organizations are still leaving themselves vulnerable to attacks. Recognizing this critical gap, AttackDNA developed X/DNA to provide the robust protection these organizations desperately needed.
X/DNA was developed as a forensic and proactive cybersecurity solution. X/DNA is a fully managed platform that addresses spy equipment-enabled man-in-the-middle attacks by leveraging AI and AR technologies to identify and eliminate threats effectively. After a costly breach at Powerwave, a forensic investigation revealed that a compromised HDMI cable at HQ, and several hidden cameras in various 3rd party factories had enabled prolonged, undetected surveillance of valuable product designs. This incident highlighted the growing threat of miniaturized spy devices and the anonymity provided by cryptocurrency. To develop this technology, we identified various physical layer spy vectors, including video/audio recorders, compromised cables, unsecured Bluetooth connections, and rogue networks.
Collaborating with Powerwave’s experienced engineering team, who were named in 7 technology patents that generated billions of dollars in revenue, we developed an AI-powered tool that uses RF signatures to identify threats. Additionally, we secured an MIT license for a computer vision SDK from LAPD Labs and integrated it with an AR layer to detect spy devices, even if they are turned off. Further investments in advanced spy cable detection technologies enhanced AttackDNA’s X/DNA platform, resulting in a comprehensive and highly affordable cybersecurity solution that provides real-time monitoring as compared to expensive periodic TSCM sweeps. Lastly, we partnered with top cybersecurity companies, enabling AttackDNA to offer the most comprehensive security solutions at wholesale pricing.
The SpendDNA module of our AttackDNA platform is designed to uncover hidden inefficiencies and risks within an organization’s spending habits, particularly focusing on wasteful expenditures such as unused software licenses. Often, companies invest in software and services with the best intentions, but over time, certain licenses may go unused due to changes in operational needs or personnel shifts. ExpenseDNA can quickly identify these underutilized resources, allowing companies to reallocate funds to more productive areas, thus improving overall financial health.
In addition to wasteful spending, SpendDNA also plays a crucial role in mitigating risks associated with shadow IT activities. These activities often involve employees using unauthorized applications or services that have not been vetted by the IT department. While these tools can sometimes enhance productivity, they pose significant security risks, including data breaches and non-compliance with industry regulations. By identifying these risky apps and services, SpendDNA empowers organizations to take proactive measures, reducing exposure to potential threats and ensuring a safer, more compliant IT environment.
